INTRODUCTION

Plant selective breeding for the purpose of higher productivity of crops has also led to the reduction of their overall (non-specific and specific) resistance to pathogens and adverse environmental conditions. This plant tolerance to stresses is given by the activity of their resistance genes. In comparison with wild plants, the resistance genes of cultivated crops have a commonly low expression activity that’s why they are often called dormant or sleeping genes. Is it possible to reactive these genes, and thereby to prevent crop production losses? Yes, in case we involve essential reserves from wild plants originating in harsh environments. The complex of special biologically active substances derived from the extracts of such highly resistant arctic plants became a basis for UNICUM® preparation.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

UNICUM® is a foliar adaptogen for plants used to ensure persistently high yield, quality and shelf life of harvested crops primarily through an effective prevention of plant stress damage caused by naturally non-optimal/ extreme environmental conditions.

UNICUM® contains a selected complex of biologically active substances which rapidly effect inactive, dormant genes of plant resistance (deactivated in the process of plant selective breeding), boost their activity, and temporarily reactivate plant’s natural defenses against biotic and abiotic stress factors. The result is a solid overall (non-specific and specific) plant resistance to fungal, bacterial, viral deseases, drought, heat, freeze, significant and rapid temperature fluctuations, chemical stress, etc. for the period of 2-3 weeks after foliar application.

UNICUM's ® growth stimulating action is based on acceleration of respiratory and metabolic processes leading to activation of carbohydrate, protein and fat synthesis in plants. This results in faster plant growth and development (starting from the roots), more effective uptake of water and minerals from the soil and their more effective assimilation for higher yield, quality and shelf life of harvested crops. Micibility with other preparations: UNICUM® is miscible with fertilizers and pesticides (at first diluted with water in a tank sprayer), except those on the base of bacteria. Before mixing the products in a tank sprayer it is recommended to check the products for compatibility in a small amount of water.
